The Doctor Returns!

Greg came out for about 2 weeks to do some skiing and climbing. We didn't get as much backcountry in as we had hoped as the mountains around Bozeman received close to 3 feet of snow in the span of a few days and the avalanche danger spiked. Big Sky rode great for a few days though. Sorry about the large image sizes!

My buddy Ben's moment of fame as the shot of the day at Big Sky on 4/2. The Big Sky paper had this as their cover photo as well. It only took him 12 years to get the cover. We skied that same snow. It was good...

The Tetons from the east...

Our route up (and down) followed the triangular snowfield above treeline and through the cliffs to the summit. The top of the couloir was melted out! Sorry about the horrible image. Everything above the snowfield was a no fall zone.

March 29. The doctor and Chuck on the approach to ski The Diagonal on Pinnacle Butte (11,516'). The approach is up the right side of this photo. The route descends down and left from behind the second high point from the right.

March 25. Blue Gully up Pine Creek in the Beartooths. Greg's first ice lead post-surgery. Probably the last ascent of this season.
